Heyyooo! How are you guys doin'?
I'm doing quite well, thanks for asking! It's been a lovely MLK day. I went to the hospital for my volunteering interview and am so happy to help over there!
I don't really know why I love hospitals so much- it's a little morbid and disturbing but let me explain! I've been in a hospital for personal reasons, and it's not fun. Everyone there is sick (duh) and a little sad, if not REALLY sad. That's the place where everyone needs help, and I love helping. I can't wait for orientation!
This has got to be one of my most favorite dresses, lovingly given the title of "The Spinster Dress".Which upon further inspection:
Features teapots, flowers, and teacups! If that doesn't put my spinsterdom into an overwhelming head start I don't know what does!
On a different note, a friend of mine will be participating in the LIVESTRONG marathon in Austin, and she's made a goal of raising $500 for the LIVESTRONG charity against cancer. If you hate cancer as much as I do, please consider donating to this cause. If you do I'd be so darn happy I'll give you a digital hug and cookies. Your choice on the cookies. Yup. And as for the hug, be prepared for the greatest of your life. Check out her story and site here:
Other than that, I hope you had a wonderful MLK day and gave thanks to those who fought for the greater good, even if it meant personal sacrifice. You know, Like Martin Luther King Jr. :)
